FORESTS, MY SECOND HOME

“Some people are scared of the woods, but I find them enchanting and beautiful.”

ENVIRONMENTALIST US MOINUDDIN BLENDING WITH NATURE IN THE DARKNESS OF THE WOODS
Talakad: It was Thursday evening; the River Kaveri was flowing lazily across the sandy town of Talakad.  Over a dozen Coracles were providing adventure and fun to the tourists on the gently flowing river. On the banks of the river was a thick forest, housing a large variety of birds. With the fading light of the dusk, I began to trek in the woods, amidst the chattering of monkeys and the cackling of the cranes on the tree tops. Like a gymnast, I did a balancing act across the fallen tree trunks.  My wild instinct commanded me to climb the wild trees, which I did with ease. In the end, I began to feel that the forests are my second home.
